Our Team

David is the President of the firm. He has more than fourteen years experience in legal collections. David earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts and received his JD from the University of Miami where he was Vice-president of the Moot Court Board and a member of The Society of Bar and Gavel. Prior to forming Borack & Associates, P.A., David was a shareholder in a firm specializing in legal collections. David is a member of the National Association of Retail Collections Attorneys and has received numerous awards from his clients and has been consistently recognized as one of the nation’s top performers. He is admitted to the practice of law in the State of Florida.

Steven is the firm’s senior associate attorney in charge of our Plantation office. He received his JD from the Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center in Ft. Lauderdale, where he was acknowledged for his distinguished service as an Honor Court Justice. Earlier he attended Florida Atlantic University of Boca Raton, Florida, where he earned a B.S. in Business Management. Steven has previously worked in the field of workers compensation defense and as a general civil practitioner. During his tenure as a civil practitioner he served on the Board of the North Broward Bar Association. He is admitted to the practice of law in the State of Florida, the Federal District Courts in the State of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals, 11th Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Rory has more than twenty-one years of collection experience including experience as a collector and collection manager at agencies such as Globe Recovery Systems, U.S. Shoe Corporation, Success Credit Services, and Med-Partners. Rory also has collection manager experience at the law firm level having previously managed a legal collection staff for six years. He has collected all types of consumer debt including credit card debt, consumer loans, automobile deficiencies, and bad checks. Rory has received numerous awards at best practices collection strategy seminars. He has also published articles in American Collectors Association “Bounce Magazine”.

Sheri has more than eighteen years of experience as a legal secretary. Prior to joining the firm she managed the legal department at a firm specializing in foreclosures. Sheri is responsible for managing the firm’s paralegal and clerical staff. Her duties include overseeing the legal process from summons and complaints to garnishments.
